Eradication of Dental Fluorosis in Christhavakulam

Work continues at the Gammadda/மக்கள் சக்தி community water supply project in Christhavakulam, Vavuniya. Many residents suffered from Dental Fluorosis because their drinking water supply was contaminated with excessive amounts of Fluoride. The proper amount of fluoride helps prevent and control tooth decay in children and adults. Dental fluorosis is a condition that causes changes in the appearance of tooth enamel. This crisis was identified during the 5thGammadda Door2Door survey in 2020.
