Clean drinking water for the residents of Kadurupitiya

Kadurupitiya village in the Mahavilachchiya Divisional Secretariat in the Anuradhapura District consist of 108 families are facing a severe drinking water crisis.

They do not have a permanent source of income and their main livelihood is rainfed farming.

About 40 kidney patients in the village. They have to travel 3 to 4 km to get clean water.

The financial contribution was made by a team of 95/96 Electrical Engineers from the University of Moratuwa.

The technical Support was received from the Sri Lanka Navy.

Work commenced on September 1stat 10.00 am in accordance with COVID 19 Health Care Instructions and the project was vested to the public on January 8th,2022 at 10.00 am.
